Bryon Schafer is Senior Vice President, Media Research & Insights at Warner Bros. Television Group, where he supports the studio’s content value chain across multiple areas, including: consumer insights, distribution sales, programming, digital and television advertising sales, and corporate business analysis.
Prior to joining Warner Bros. Television Group, Bryon Schafer served as Hulu's director of research and sales strategy, where he led a team responsible for all research efforts across Hulu's business units. This portfolio encompassed research in support of advertising, distribution, marketing, content development and acquisition, as well as global research in support of product development. In addition, Bryon directed the advertising sales strategy team, which is tasked with "making it easy" for advertisers to plan, buy, deliver and measure campaigns on Hulu, as well as managing the formats, tools, features and experiments that improve the relevancy and effectiveness of advertising.
Prior to joining Hulu in 2008, Bryon held marketing and media research roles at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group and ABC Television Network. Bryon holds a BA in Anthropology from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, and he began his career in the media department of Ogilvy & Mather in New York City.
